Is LGBTQ+ the new veganism?

Declaration of interest- that hated category of white straight male. But, I have absolutley no problem with individuals sexual orientation.

A few years ago, there was a “joke” doing the rounds along the lines

                How do you know if someone is a vegan? – answer, they will f****ing tell you.

I feel as if the LGBTQ+ community has now replaced the vegans in this.

I think the saying was the result of individuals absolute boredom and disinterest of people telling them of that particular trait. I am sort of the same with the LGBTQ+ community, whilst I have no issue with the community, I just don’t care. I thought the whole rationale behind this was that we just accept everyone for what they are and treat everyone alike, great, sign me up, so why do so many of the LGBTQ+ community need to make a song and dance about it? Its as if they want or need to be considered as different or special. When in fact these personal attributes have been around for thousands of years ! Its all so boring now especially employers who seem so committed to show how woke they are on this.
